So first things first - I am not a Nanoite or whatever they call themselves, I don't even think I can call myself a NaNo rebel because I have no intention of writing 50,000 words, and I really don't have any intention of writing fiction.  However, in support of my sister, a seasoned NaNo participant, and one who yearly attempts to lure me into the NaNo scene, I will try to write on this blog and include 50 pictures - because hey a picture is worth a thousand words .... or so it's been said.  I thought about doing this on one of my other blogs that I write on occasionally, but it doesn't necessarily go with either of them.  So here is from day one.

I like the lighting in this picture, whenever I look at it, the line "Morning has broken" runs through my mind.

Morning has broken, like the first morning.
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird.
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning,
Praise for them springing fresh from the Word.

Sweet the rain's new fall, sunlight from heaven.
Like the first dewfall, on the first grass.
Praise for the sweetnes of the wet garden,
Sprung in completeness where His feet pass.

Mine is the sunlight, mine is the morning.
Born of the one light Eden saw play.
Praise with elation, praise every morning;
God's recreation of the new day.

Morning has broken, like the first morning.
Blackbird has spoken, like the first bird.
Praise for the singing, praise for the morning,
Praise for them springing fresh from the Word.

In my opinion it is a beautiful song, with beautiful words.  So as I begin this month of November, I pray for visions of God in each day and to find his Word and his creation springing fresh each morning.

So my challenge to myself for the day was looking at composition.  Not entirely sure how I did, but here are two shots I ended up with that I really liked.

This one I was trying for a symmetry or partial symmetry composition.

This one I was supposed to be a letterbox composition.  I am not sure that this
is exactly what letterbox composition is, but I like the picture I ended up with.
