A Winter Afternoon

Spent a fun afternoon with the youth today.  Snow on the ground, chilly weather, but it made for a festive outing.  Followed up by some decorating and then a supper of Cincinnati chili to finish it off.
Each of us brought an ornament for the tree that reflected somthing we learned about God this year or someway we saw God working this year.

Here are the ornaments.
An oboe reed, representing how God takes time to craft us gently,
delicately, and precisely and how without the oboe we are ineffective.
"My life with God is a wild ride"

The silver ball represents ourselves and the bronze is a realization of
how God is not only in us but all around us.

A hand, representing how God's hand in our lives, whether He is holding
our hand through tough times, reaching out to us when we can't see the way,
a loving touch, or just seeing how He is working all around us.

Also verbally, a present, to represent God's presence in our lives.
